The AE-1000 USB is a bi-directional physical layer media converter which supports conversions between 1000Base-T Ethernet and 1000Base-T1 (OPEN Alliance BroadR-Reach (OABR) compatible) Automotive Ethernet via a user-selectable switch. The AE-1000 USB is powered via the USB port and supports standard NIC drivers.
Manufactured with a rugged IP40 nylon enclosure, the AE-1000 USB does not require external software to configure or operate and can be used out-of-the-box with all standard Ethernet devices.

- Physical Commander/Responder mode selection switch minimizes start up negotiation delays
- AE-1000 USB supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) to eliminate extra power wiring or can be DC powered using a surge tolerant operating voltage of 6-36VDC (suitable for in-vehicle use)
